JNH has been training hairdressers for more than 30 years. We offer various levels of training, working closely with the colleges to offer you the best possible training both in the salon and in the classroom. All aspects of hairdressing are taught including cutting, barbering, perming and colouring right through to the latest up to the minute techniques. The initial training takes approximately 2 years to qualify to NVQ level 2 and then the stylist will be encouraged to attain higher levels of training to NVQ level 3 and beyond if appropriate for the stylist. Staff will also attend various courses nationwide to further advance their skills.
We have a training night every Wednesday in the salon for trainees to bring in their clients to advance their skills and work on perfecting all aspects of the clients hairdressing experience whilst in the Salon.
In addition to the fundamental training for trainees and stylists, we have on-going in-salon training provided by L'Oreal Technicians from their London Technical Centre at least four times a year. During the in-salon training we close the Salon for the morning and each stylist in the salon brings in a model to try out new advanced techniques with the guidance and teaching of the L'Oreal Technician to keep us at the forefront of the industry. The Stylist then present the techniques they have used on their models to demonstrate and share the knowledge gained to all the Staff in the Salon.
